Global Chaos – How Can Europe Tackle It?

This is an official side event on the occasion of the Munich Security Conference 2022.

The Young Forum of the Foreign Affairs Association / Junges Forum der Gesellschaft für Außenpolitik is dedicated to the exchange between young professionals, students as well as politicians, military officials, media specialists and business experts. After months of tension and thousands of troops massed on the border, is Russia now set to invade Ukraine, the spread of COVID-19 all over the world, climate change. In these turbulent times, the European Union stands at a crossroads. Should it continue to pursue its dispensable role in world affairs, or assume a more responsive capacity? Could the EU develop an assertive stance, that effectively counterweights Russian and Chinese interests, while emancipating itself from US foreign policy? This event aims to promote meaningful debate through an engaging panel discussion and enthrall a young audience with the ideas of various experts from relevant fields.
