The Bavarian America Academy, in cooperation with and the support of the American German Business Club (AGBC - Munich Chapter), invites emerging scholars to apply for one travel stipend for a research stay in the U.S. To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must work on a dissertation or post-doctoral project supervised at a Bavarian university and their research must have a transatlantic connection. Beyond using the time to conduct research, successful applicants are expected to pursue networking opportunities and cultivate contacts in intercultural settings. A single support amount of €1,500.
 

Requirements

We invite applications from candidates who have been awarded a master's or doctoral degree within the past three years (from application submission date). The research proposal should contain research questions concerned with transatlantic issues.

Applicants from the following disciplines take precedence:

• economics and social sciences
• political science
• economic geography
• law
• historical sciences

Ongoing funding from other sources is not a disqualifying factor for application.
