Duke University Post-Graduate Research Fellowship

Sponsored by Bavarian American Academy (BAA)
€2,000 Grant, Summer/Fall 2024

The Bavarian American Academy invites early career researchers to apply one Post-Graduate Research Fellowship at Duke University.

During the research stay, fellows have access to Duke University's libraries. Local contacts will furthermore support fellows in their research and offer opportunities to discuss work-in-progress. Fellows can use the grant for travel and accommodation costs. They will coordinate the exact travel period with Kerry Haynie, Dean of Social Sciences and Professor of Political Science. After the research stay, fellows need to submit a short report to the BAA. Read here what some of our fellows say about their experience.

Requirements

The Post-Graduate Research Fellowships of the Bavarian American Academy are open to early career researchers working on a doctoral or postdoctoral project that is supervised at a Bavarian university. Research projects need to be situated in a discipline represented in the Bavarian American Academy, preferably in the fields of history, political sciences, sociology, economics, law, area studies, geography, American literary and cultural studies, or art history.
