2022 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Munich 1972—and with it the terrorist attack on the Israeli team that killed twelve athletes. Various events throughout 2022 will be dedicated to these twelve people.

Amerikahaus commemorates Israeli-American weightlifter David Berger in particular. In cooperation with the Jewish Museum Munich and the Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism, Amerikahaus features a light installation that can be seen until January 31, 2022, every day beginning at 4 p.m. To enrich the experience, the installation is supplemented by an audio track with information on the life of the Olympic athlete. This audio is available via QR code located outside of Amerikahaus.
