U.S. Elections 2020: Primary Season

Master Class for Students / Free admission / FULLY BOOKED

In early 2020, voters supporting the Democratic party will choose who will run against Donald Trump in November. What are primary elections, why do they exist, and how do they work? Who is competing for the Democratic nomination? Which parts of the party and which political positions do they represent? Who is favored to win and will they stand a chance against Donald Trump? This talk will try to answer these and related questions. As usual, political cartoons and satirical videos will help liven up these serious topics.

Speaker: Dr. Markus Hünemörder, LMU München

Organizer: Information & Recherche, Bibliothek, Stiftung Bayerisches Amerikahaus gGmbH - Bavarian Center for Transatlantic Relations
