In this workshop, you have the unique chance to learn from Hillary Jordan whose book Mudbound won the 2006 Bellwether Prize for Socially Conscious Fiction and a 2009 Alex Award from the American Library Association. It was long-listed for the 2010 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and named one of the Top Ten Debut Novels of the Decade by Paste magazine.

In 2017, the novel was adapted into a critically acclaimed film which will be shown at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 7 p.m. Please see the next page for more information.

Hillary Jordan is the author of the novels When She Woke and Mudbound, published by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill. The two novels have been translated into fifteen languages. Hillary received her BA from Wellesley College and her MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
