Call for Applications: “The Futures of American Studies Institute”

 

Our Bavarian American Academy funds two PhD-students or Postdocs to participate in the “The Futures of American Studies Institute” at Dartmouth College (Director: Professor Donald E. Pease). 
 

The Institute which is taking place from Monday June 17- Sunday June 23, 2019, was designed to provide a shared space of critical inquiry that brings the participants' work-in-progress to the attention of a network of influential scholars.

The Institute is divided into plenary sessions that feature talks from Institute faculty, research seminars in which all participants present and discuss their own work-in-progress, and participant-organized sessions.

For travel and accommodation the BAA awards a scholarship of €1150 ($695 tuition and €500 travel grant).  

Applications should include a brief description of the project (not more than one page), a CV, a writing sample (10–15 pages), and one letter of recommendation.
