Our colleague at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin kindly compiled a list of all education fairs in Germany of which we are aware. Please contact the U.S. Embassy in Berlin for the latest and most up-to-date version.
Regular Information and Advising Sessions
We hold information and advising sessions on a regular basis at our center and happily include university/college representatives who can contribute on general topics concerning higher education in the USA or Canada and the application process.
Please understand that due to our mixed group of advisees, we cannot hold webinars covering only one specific field of study. The number of events per month/year are also limited.
Let us know about any scholarship opportunities open to international applicants. We will gladly announce them.
Let your German Students Speak
If you happen to have German students on your campus, maybe they want to act as ambassadors.
If you visit U.S. or Canadian high schools, don’t overlook international exchange students. We see many former high school exchange students who wish to return to North America for their studies.
Visiting schools in Germany is rather difficult. There are very strict rules about how class time can be used and what can be advertised on school grounds. As such, even if the presentation is focused on higher education in general, many public schools will be hesitant to allow specific universities from the U.S. or Canada to present to their students
Some schools are more willing to make an exception when it is a student or professor who comes to share his or her personal experience , as this comes across less as advertising for a specific university. International or English-speaking schools tend to be more receptive to presentations by universities in general.
Field Trips and Study Abroad
High schools and universities sending students to the Munich area are welcome to get in touch with us. We are happy to assist in organizing school visits or information sessions as we are able.
Brochures and Information Material
Please save the postage and don’t send us brochures or flyers. We hardly find our students picking it up. Instead, please send information on your school and programs online.
Tell us about your ideas on how to promote your school in our region. We’re open to new concepts and will gladly share our experience with you.
Please note: Our mission is to provide accurate, unbiased information about the full range of accredited U.S. study and exchange programs. We therefore cannot set up promotional events for your school or serve as a recruiting agency.
