About the Film
Highlights and insider tips from the current festival edition will be presented by the Filmfest München programme team. Afterwards, Filmfest München, together with MUBI, will screen the audience favourite Aftersun by Charlotte Wells (original language, 98'). The film was a hit at Filmfest 2022 and won the CineVision Award for Best International Newcomer Film.
Sophie remembers the all-inclusive Turkish holiday she spent with her father in the 90s when she was still a girl. An almost carefree time of growing up, there is a loving, teasing bond between the two of them, like siblings. However, the father also has mood swings and does not always fulfil his parenting duties conscientiously.
