Dartmouth Summer Institute

One Week Summer Institute: June 20-26, 2022
Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire

Director: Professor Donald E. Pease (Dartmouth College / honorary BAA member )
Executive Director: Professor James E. Dobson (Dartmouth College)

The Bavarian American Academy funds two PhD-students or postdocs to participate in the "The Futures of American Studies Institute" at Dartmouth College. The Summer Institute will take place as in-person format, if the COVID-19 pandemic situation allows it. For travel and accommodation the BAA awards a scholarship of €1,150 ($695 tuition and €500 travel grant).

The Summer Institute provides a shared space of critical inquiry that brings the participants' work-in-progress to the attention of a network of influential scholars.

See Dartmouth College's website of "The Future of American Studies Institute" for more information on the program
