My research stay at the Gilder Lehrman Center at Yale was an incredible experience. Not only did I gain access to the vast university libraries, which helped to propel my dissertation project forward, but also the academic and personal exchange at Yale was particularly valuable for me and for advancing my work. A highlight was the Frederick Douglass Book Prize Ceremony, which the Center co-hosted with the Gilder Lehrman Institute in New York City. My whole experience at Yale has been hugely insightful for my project as well as for my personal and professional development as a scholar.
