Since 1999, the Bavarian American Academy organizes international and interdisciplinary annual conferences. Those gatherings focus on topics relating to America (often the United States, but also Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean). The annual conferences take place at Amerikahaus Munich, where they bring together Americanists from Europe, North America, and the entire world, enabling them to explore important and timely questions of the field. The conference proceedings appear in the Publications of the Bavarian American Academy, the BAA Book Series, which is published by Universitätsverlag Winter in Heidelberg, Germany.

The 23rd Annual Conference of the BAA takes place from Thursday, July 10, to Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Amerikahaus Munich. It will explore the topic "Labor, Unions, and the Future of Work."
