The Bavarian America Academy awards fellowships for young scientists at Bavarian universities and supports research stays at top American universities and research institutions.
The fellowship will be awarded regardless of wether a stay in the US is possible in 2021. It is very important to the Bavarian American Academy and its sponsors to support the next generation of scholars during the COVID-19 crisis.

2,000 Euro Grant, Summer-Fall 2021
This fellowship includes intensive participation at the Gilder Lehrman Center during the time on site. You will work closely with professors at the center. In addition, access to all libraries in Yale is provided. The Yale Club of Germany supports the fellowship with 2,000 Euros. This sum can be used for travel or accommodation costs. The exact travel period will be coordinated with Professor David Blight at the Gilder Lehrman Center. After the fellowship, a short report must be submitted to the BAA.
