Participating in "The Futures of American Studies Institute" at Dartmouth College was a truly enriching experience that I would strongly recommend to any early-career researcher in the field. The lectures, both diverse and highly engaging, deepened my understanding of American Studies, and the insightful feedback I received during the workshop sessions was very beneficial to my PhD project and beyond. Moreover, the Futures Institute provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with international scholars and exchange ideas with fellow Americanists.

Participating in "The Futures of American Studies Institute" 2024 was a fantastic experience, and I am grateful to the BAA for making it possible. Sharing and discussing my current research project in the seminar sessions was incredibly productive. The plenary lectures and discussions covered diverse topics central to the field of American Studies and further deepened my understanding of critical debates in the field. In addition, the Institute provided great networking opportunities, allowing me to build and strengthen connections with scholars from different institutions, which has already opened up possibilities for future collaborations.

"The Futures of American Studies Institute" gave me the opportunity to share my work and learn from other researchers that study the United States in a global context and who reflect on the political, economic, cultural, and ideological impact of the United States in the world. The Summer Academy was incredibly helpful for me and gave me further insights into the particularities of applying theories and methods, and especially, doing American Studies from a transnational and global perspective.

"The Futures of American Studies Institute" at Dartmouth College was an amazing and rewarding experience for me. I received valuable and thought-provoking feedback for my project during the seminar sessions. Moreover, I was really impressed and fascinated by the sophisticated and exciting talks that I was able to attend during the morning and evening plenary sessions. Furthermore, I was happy that I was able to get in touch with other PhD students from the field of American studies during the seminars and the social events such as the barbecue and to learn about their individual projects. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Summer Institute and I would highly recommend applying for it to fellow PhD students.
