Celebrate Comic Book Day at Amerikahaus!

Monday, September 25, 2023, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon or 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.

In honor of the annual U.S. day of celebration "National Comic Book Day" on September 25, we are giving two school groups the chance to participate in one of two identical comic book workshops with us at the Amerikahaus!

During each time slot of the free 2.5-hour workshop, your class or school group will begin by learning the basics of sequential art. After that, participants will have the chance to create their own U.S.-themed storylines and create the first page of their very own comic. The workshop will end with a gallery walk so that everyone can enjoy what their classmates have created.

Workshop slots will be filled according to the first come, first served principle. The workshops are free and work well for grades 8, 9 and 10 of any school type. Depending on your class's needs, the workshop can be conducted in English or in German. The examples of comics and graphic novels used in the workshop are in English. The comics workshops are free for you and your students.

We will note below once a workshop time has been filled.
If you are interested in a comic book or graphic novels workshop but cannot register for a workshop time slot on Comic Book Day, please have a look at our bookable workshop options here.
