Let's Go to the USA and Canada! - Information Session and Quiz

The last exams are over and many students are asking themselves: What is the next step?

Going abroad can be the perfect opportunity to clear your head, find yourself, expand your horizon, and gain your first work experience.

On November 15, 2017, an eleventh grade class from Anita-Augspurg school in Munich visited the Amerikahaus to inform themselves about the numerous opportunities to travel to the U.S. and Canada. From homestay, farmstay, Au Pair or summer camp, to work & travel or language and study programs, there are many options to choose from. The information session was one of the events taking place at the Amerikahaus during International Education Week 2017 and provided the students with the basics for each program, including age restrictions, how to apply, and the length of stay.

In order to loosen up the group (and to make it more fun of course!), we added a little quiz to test the students’ basic knowledge about the U.S. and Canada. Questions concerning culture, historical events, or language had to be answered with voting cards. Divided into two teams, the students competed against each other. In a competition close as close can be, the team “Winners” lived up to its well-chosen name and took home the first prize.

Thank you for visiting us, being such careful listeners, and fair competitors. We look forward to seeing you in the Amerikahaus again soon!
