The Bavarian American Center in America House Munich’s mission is to promote relations and strengthen scholarly debate between Germany and the North and South American continents. America House is run by the Bavarian American Center at America House Munich Association whose founding members include the State of Bavaria, the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich, the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen and Nürnberg, the Bertelsmann Buch AG and other German-American Clubs and Organizations. The Bavarian-American Center in America House Munich is financially supported by the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts. The actual building on Karolinenplatz is provided by the State of Bavaria. Significant support also comes from donations from both the United States and Canada.
